Lots of people are interested in learning how to lose 10 lbs in 3 days. In fact, according to Google search statistics, it's one of the most-popular search phrases on the web! Part of the reason is something called the "3 Day Diet"... a crash/fad diet that came out years ago and that promises to help anyone lose up to 10 lbs in a very short amount of time (yeah, three days!). Amazingly that simple, unproven diet continues to be a very popular weight loss solution across North America, Europe, and the world. Another reason for the popularity of this particular search phrase is procrastination. We've all waited until the last moment to lose those few pounds we need to lose in order to look good and/or fit into that new outfit (or wedding dress!)

So the question remains: is it really possible to lose that much weight in such a short period of time? And if so, what is the best way to go about doing it? Crash dieting? Juice fasting? Raw dieting? Intense exercise? Or a combination of the above?

Well, let's find out...

Losing 10 Lbs in 3 Days -- Possible or Not?

As to the question of whether or not it is even possible to lose 10 pounds in 3 days the simple answer is "no... it's not!". Ten pounds is actually quite a lot of weight for most people... too much to lose in such a short amount of time realistically. The more complex answer is this:

You might be able to lose close to 10 lbs in just a few days with intense, low-calorie eating and lots of sweat-producing exercise. But most of those ten pounds will be water weight... not fat. Simply put, you'll slim down, lose a couple inches, and weigh less... but you're not going to be significantly "leaner" or fitter. Of course, when you're desperate to fit into a new bathing suit, exactly where those missing 10 pounds came from may not matter all that much to you!

A Simple Weight Loss Emergency Plan

If you do decide to try and lose 10 pounds in 3 days, at least do your best to follow a relatively healthy weight loss plan that combines both clean eating and smart exercise. Here's a simple plan anyone can follow to lose a few lbs and inches very quickly:

1. Get laser-focused -- For the time being, think about nothing but losing weight and, hopefully, burning off some body fat. The more you focus, the easier it will be to see some tangible results.

2. Drink LOTS of water -- Pure water is your best friend when it comes to losing pounds fast. Drink at least a gallon of pure water each day to help flush your system, cleanse your body (especially the digestive tract), and help rid your body of a pound or two of excess fluid. Yes, drinking more water actually causes your body to "release" some of its extra fluid, making it possible to lose a few pounds and inches quickly and easily.

3. Go low-carb -- Stick to a strict low-carb diet based around lean proteins, vegetables, and small amounts of healthy fats (like virgin olive oil, nuts, and seeds). Eat no sugar, processed carbohydrates, fried foods, or starches (like potatoes and rice). Your body will quickly use up its stored glycogen (sugar) and tap into stored calories (body fat) for energy. You'll drop several pounds quickly, although most of it will be "water" weight.

4. Do interval exercise -- Spend at least 20 minutes each morning doing some form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise. This is a very powerful form of exercise for boosting the metabolism, burning fat quickly, and forcing your body to "sweat off" a few pounds very efficiently.

So there you go. Each of the things listed above will help you lose a couple of pounds quickly. In combination they just might allow you to lose 10 lbs in 3 days. It's certainly a better option than simply starving yourself or risking your health with dangerous diet pills and weight loss supplements!

This diet has so many names. Making healthy changes to your diet is always recommended over any drastic scheduled diet. Short, very low calorie diets only tend to work for immediate results, if you want long term weight loss you have to make long term changes.

Wow! I'm impressed with your research. I'm not a fan of fad diet plans because of the very reason you mention, your health. What is amazing though is that even on a normal and healthy diet you lose quite a few pounds very fast initially because of the water loss, later on, of course, it all slows down and you start to lose the normal 1 pound or so a week. In the long run I do not think it is good to go for more than 1pound or 500 grams a week.

I agree. laser focused is key. sticking to lean protein and cutting out only complex carbs (ususally in the form veg and fiber is best). check out my site: http://www.bestnaturaldietpills.net/how-to-lose-5-
